I am an Assistant Professor at Tennessee State University in the Department of Computer Science. I lead the Meaningful Interative Media and Intelligent Computing (MIMIC) Lab, where my research primarily sits at the intersection of interactive systems (e.g., games and simulation), human factors, organizational psychology, and AI.

A lot of my previous work has focused on applications of interactive systems and AI to adult learning and training. Different from many computer scientists who focus primarily on the technical, my work centers humans and the impacts of technology on us. Outside of my primary research areas, I also collaborate with others on applications of AI and human-centered software design.

When I am not working, you can find me playing board and video games with my friends, watching anime, or hiking in the parks surrounding Nashville with my wife. I also love to participate in game jams and shoot (very) amature recurve archery.
